Time Tickets are:
- Determined based on your class year and credit hours at the time of Time Ticket assignment.
- Assigned based on completed credits. Pending credits are excluded.
- Students with a qualifying disability accommodation, ROTC students, VA students, and RPI student-athletes, will receive a priority ticket.
- For current students, the time ticket will be emailed to your RPI account approximately four weeks before the scheduled pre-registration time period. The email also includes any existing Registration Holds which may prevent you from registering.
- For new incoming students (first time and transfer), your time ticket will be issued approximately 2 weeks prior to your new student registration date. You will not receive an email, but you can view your time ticket in SIS under the Student Registration links. (Viewing time ticket)
- Displayed in United States Eastern Standard Time and military/24-hour time. You may register any time after your assigned time slot during the registration period.
Troubleshooting:
- If you do not receive your email time ticket or have misplaced it, log into SIS and select the "Student Registration" option, then "Prepare for Registration". Enter the term and submit. Your registration status and time ticket information should be visible on this screen. (Viewing time ticket). You can also view your time ticket in your student profile by clicking on the "Registration Notices" link on the bar above your profile photo, in the right hand corner.
- Make sure your Major is listed on your Time Ticket. You must file a Change of Major Form before registration if it is not listed. Some Engineering students are listed as Undeclared Engineering until they formally declare their major.
