Summer and Winter Break Programs

Advising and Learning Assistance Center (ALAC) approval is required for students who wish to take more than 16 credits during a summer term. Students may not take more than eight credits during a winter term.

  • All courses must meet minimum contact hours to transfer (15 instructional hours per credit are required. For example, a 3-credit course must meet a minimum of 45 hours).
  • Courses must meet at least three weeks during the term. Exceptions to the 3-week minimum will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Requests should be submitted to the Associate Dean of the School.
  • Students must register for summer and winter break courses with an appropriately accredited college or university directly, not through a third-party agency.
