A dual major requires fulfilling the degree requirements for two curricula. One diploma will be awarded for both majors. You will be assigned an adviser in each department to monitor your progress. The degree clearance officer in each department will certify that you have met all degree requirements.
To declare a Dual Major
- Designate a first-named and second-named major by filing an Undergraduate Change of Major Form at least one semester before graduation.
- The appropriate department(s) must approve the designation before filing the Undergraduate Change of Major Form with the Office of the Registrar.
To drop a Dual Major
- Fill out the Undergraduate Change of Major Form to drop a Dual Major.
Note: The 24-credit hour Mathematics/Science requirement and the 24-credit hour Humanities and Social Sciences requirement will satisfy the Institute's requirements for both majors.
