Currently enrolled students interested in taking a course at an external institution for transfer credit must receive prior approval. For course approval, fill out the Transfer Credit Approval form.

• The Undergraduate Transfer Course Guide is a planning tool and does not guarantee transfer credit. The information provided is not a comprehensive list of all institutions or all courses at a particular institution.
• Courses taken at another institute are not calculated in your GPA/QPA. They are included in your total Earned Hours but do not appear on your Rensselaer Transcript.

Please send the course description and transfer credit approval form to the designated school for evaluation and signature.
